June Post-celebration outings 2014

The jellyfish is back! Some memories about outings in June, after the week of celebration. =D

1. Escape hunt outing (Part 1)
2. Dadadidadi outings
3. Others

*Escape Hunt (Part 1) - 8th June, Sunday*

If you like playing Doors and Rooms 1/2 (Available on Android & iOS systems), and feel that it's not a great challenge, why not try the real life version and see if reality is just as simplified as the visual version? Here's the Escape Hunt website, go take a look!

http://singapore.escapehunt.com/

1700hrs

ZY definitely grew taller! (Duh) He also wore quite a formal attire as he attended his teacher's wedding before the evening game. That's a new look compared to his usual white shirt / short pants attire! Cute uh. (Sounds damn gay -.-) Met up with WL and YL, and they bought a few cups of Koi before proceeding to the game location. Chatted along the way. Nobody changed much, perhaps except for ZY growing physically. YL has ORD-ed, ZY did well for his N-lvl and is currently in his O-lvl year. (Power!) WL and myself... Haix.

Mostly chatted with ZY (I always thought he's a quiet guy). He worked in DHL before, and mentioned something about having to do a lot of scanning stuff. Heng the coordinators can just anyhow confirm in the system, if not jialat sia. @_@

1720hrs

We reached the Escape Hunt place, and woah! The design and uniforms the staff wear reminds me of the Pokemon Safari Zone! There are many cosy-looking sofas, tables, tea packets, and a shelf full of exploration props. The perfect gamemaster? Nat mei! Aiya, as Ninja always quote her: "Follow your heart", I am guessing this is gonna be appropriate when you have to use your instincts to get out of that room! A very short briefing about the rules, and the story behind the stock market crashing if we didn't escape within 60 minutes. Sounds cool.

As a game tradition, the leader of the group has to put some oil on the forehead. Guess who kena the oil. =/

1730hrs

Let the escape begin! The content of the room won't be revealed. It should be left as an exercise. :D

Random things in the game
1. The beginning room is all red! We can just run them red lights! That is until WL switched on the room light. The red lights reminds me of the Submachine game. Yet another escape game link. :)

2. The timer above the door looks damn cool!

3. We can hear the cups being washed. Luckily ZY and myself not distracted significantly..

4. Nat mei: "Walao eh!!! You all like ransack the room leh!"

5. Oh! So the escape is a magnetic lock! -.-

6. ZY wanted to use 59 hints. I am sure that will get us out before 1 hour =P

7. Jeff almost exited the room without knowing who the hell is the 'murderer'.

----------

1835hrs

After the game, we rested at the sofa, drank some tea, and hear Nat mei asking us to take photos (because her boss is there). Here is the photo that we took.

From left: YL the solver, ZY the helper, Jeff the math, Nat the gamemaster, WL the finder

(What do you mean by you can't see WL in the pic!? XD)

Drank the strawberry mango tea and white chrys tea. I have always wondered how these ang-moh tea taste like, I think I will stick to Gong Cha... ZY put a lot of sugar in his tea, I am guessin' thats the balance which makes up for the lack of coke in the escape hunt place.

Before we leave, Nat introduced us to another room. That is going to be part 2.

Date: 10 August 2014
Day: Sunday
Time: 2030 hrs
"Blackmail in the bedroom"

Oh, we took 61 minutes to complete the game. O_O

1930hrs

YL went off early to find his gf (i think?), so the 3 of us proceeded for dinner, and hey, it's that pizza place again! (The one which is damn hard to cut) WL mentioned that we broke the vow of never visiting the place again, aiya sian. =P

Ordered the luncheon meat pizza and the nutella doughnut balls. Taste quite normal, even though it's not a food item you see regularly in everyday hawkers and food courts. ZY played my phone game 'No One Dies'. Not bad ah, he survived 10 seconds in the 5-stickman-challenge without playing much of the easier game modes! ^^

For the rest of the evening, we walked around Orchard Central, and I brought them to see the night sky (inspired by the day outing with Dadadidadi ppl). Looks like a romantic spot to bring your gf. :) That is the night which I also realised that ZY actually has some passion for maths and computing (compared to most ppl). Probably he can choose to take Mathematical Sciences in NTU!

That's the end of the Escape Hunt part 1 outing!

Dadadidadi outings!

Sat (21/6) - The 'quiet' lunch outing

YT turned up for lunch! SH, YR, MJ, WJ, Jasmine, LC and myself gathered for a random meal at ION together with YT to make up for the 'lost cycling outing' last year. Paradise dynasty for lunch. I ate the egg fried rice (as nice as the one in Lot 1), and wow, it's awesome to have a simple meatless delicacy after a chaotic day at work! (That is the day when the sprinkler broke)

Except for MJ,YR and myself, the rest are sorta slacking / involved in CCA. YT is now working as an insurance agent after successfully graduating from Y4S2. Appointments and stuff, I think that's what most of us will be in a few years time. After the meal, we walked around ION and managed to take some group photos involving many random stuff. Lazy to post them here. More walks, yoghurt, seeing WJ and YR disturbing each other...

After reaching 313 Somerset, except for me and SH, the rest went home (EH why ah!). The rest of the evening...

1. Visit Nat mei ("Eh my future dasao ah!" Ya la, hopefully.)
2. Watched 'How to train your dragon 2'! Lemme tell you, the sheeps are sooo  CUUTTEEE!!! <3
3. SH ah, you sure love mashed potato sia! Next time should buy $70 of potatoes for her, wakaka XD

Fri (27/6) - The 'timetable' thing

There is a shop which sells affordable chinese/western cuisine, which is just beside Subway. The baked rice is great!

The so called timetable thing is actually the distribution of presents for ppl born in May and June. I got a Java book as a present! :D

TH went to fetch MJ home, not before taking some photos with the transformers in front of the Cathay.

Bumblebee! I think SY likes this transformer.

Ah. That's about it for the short post for the 2 mini-outings!

==========

Food items which War recommended.

Jap dinner: where is the place?
(Is it Yaki Yaki Bo Teppanyaki?)

jap pancake, cheap garlic and egg fried rice, banana with honey and ice cream, chicken

The food items here are fantastic! If you want a good meal and want to see how your food is done, visit this outlet at JP! Generous serving, and quality food! Awesome!

--

There's another sausage outlet in JP, I forgot what's the name. All I can say that the sausage is rather delicious, but it won't make you full.

End of the post!
