WL 21st

Here's wishing Wen Long, a happy 21st birthday / happy adulthood! ^^ ~~~ That's another step closer to uni life.

S16 Pre-Uni outing

Image
The S16 pre-uni class outing is organised on a random Sunday, and thus I swapped the Mandai and Beach Road tuition timings. With some extra time in between, I chose to take the 961 direct bus which goes a rather long way~ http://www.smrtbuses.com.sg/busguide/routedetails.asp?BusNo=961C&Source=WOODLANDS+REG+INT&Destination=LORONG+1+GEYLANG+TER&BusType=A&ServiceType=T Travelling from Mandai to Beach Road via 961 is like taking a little trip around Singapore town, in a Singapore City Bus! To see: Clarke Quay (29.5) Raffles Place (32.1) The Esplanade (32.8) and all of us! Perhaps the songwriters wrote this in the 961 bus. Awesome! :D Posting about the S16 class outing, which in my opinion, kinda random. ========== 1845 hrs - The pre-meetup Me, War and WL met up at Bugis station before we set off to the dinner place near Arab Street. Just like ODNS eat chicken rice in the morning, ODNS go to the town area in a L1 Beach attire, unless it's a shophouse. We

Does anyone remember this? --------- This is a gameshow which I will never ever want to participate in. ~~~~~ End of post!

Marsiling Singout

Image
"I purposely studied for this!" - WL ODNS study for a singout. ^^ I forgot who suggested for this, but this can be considered a makeup(?) for WL and of course, a walk into the different genres of songs. =D ========== A super enthu WL woke everybody up in the early morning, which gave me a false impression that he would be early as he claimed to have left home at 11am. Ah, the unforseen disastrous rain, couldn't accept a punctual WL, and thus, me and War waited for him for 20 minutes. -.- At 12.20pm, WL finally arrived (in a L3 atas attire), and we proceeded to the nearest coffee shop for a quick lunch. As ODNS have chicken rice in the morning, War ate the chicken rice with pride and glory in the afternoon while I had a few crispy pancakes. :) Not sure if the pancake aunty really recognised or mistaken me as somebody else, she asked how come I did not patronise her stall for a long time. Rather heartening to hear that. =D A rather short walk to Marsiling CC via t

The jellyfish is back! :D Some songs for the month of July, summer month! ========== Starting with 3 songs that are recommended by WL! Here's the 1st one by Elyar Fox, Colourblind! Enjoy! Apparently you would have to follow them on Twitter or something like that if you want to download their song. His voice rather sweet sia. =P --- For some reason, I initially thought that this song is being sang by Hedley, which of course didn't turn out to be true. --- Austin Mahone (not Manhoe as spelt incorrectly by me...) - What About Love~ Rather recent? Side note, does this song have any resemblance to any of Backstreet Boys songs? I don't know why WL liked this, it's not rock o.o That's all for WL's recommendations! ---------- Go back to the past. A song by Backstreet Boys~ Heard this over Gold 90FM while at the Malay Barber. Sometimes you wonder, old songs are seriously sometimes better right~? ---------- Next one by Relient K and Owl

Recent movies and trailers

Image
ODNS say that the guy is CPT Jack Sparrow. =D A nice movie, but rather long. -- Best movie among the 5 listed! :D Some condemn the movie because of its ending, but the story makes up for it. ^^ Never overestimate yourself. -- Watched this with War, and oh well, it's a few weeks left to going Uni! Few things you can learn from the movie. 1. Mugging gets you nowhere, if you don't have the talent 2. Talent gets you nowhere, if you don't take the effort to try to mug. Agree with the 1st. -- If you like the Minion trailer, look at others. I like the storyline of this movie. ^^ -- KY got very dizzy watching that, to the extent she used her hands to cover her eyes. Not bad. I still don't understand the wall part and how come people are still alive after so many years. o.o ========== That's all!

The jellyfish is back! "You will be working in Idemitsu Lube Singapore, as an admin assistant in a lab. Your contract duration will be from 17 April 2013 to 28 June 2013. We hope that you will have an enjoyable working experience." With the shadows of the previous 2 jobs having not enough money and projects, here I go entering into the 4th job after ORD, thinking how long would the job really last. =/  Going to post about a few memorable days in ILS, some random moments / events, and of course a lovin' farewell message. XD ---------- The First Day (17th Apr) It's raining heavily on that day. Traffic jams are all over JE, Clementi and West Coast. My father fetched me to ILS on the 1st day, and thus I wasn't late. XD Reached at around 8am, and I wondered how come nobody had reached the company. Entertained myself by reading all about the chemical safety labels, the hazardous effects and wondered how the heck can school labs be compared to a real

Tean's S buffet

Image
The jellyfish is back! ^^ It's been quite a long time since I have ate a buffet, esp. a Korean one. So to meet up / try a Korean buffet / makan with Tean, we went to this Korean BBQ buffet place called 'Ssikkek' at Chinatown. Posting about the outing for the day! :) ~~~~~~~~~ As JM said, one does not simply expect too much from a Korean buffet restaurant, especially if it's at a place where the focus is on delicious traditional food. To our surprise, it turned out rather well, and it's definitely worth a visit. =D It's highly recommended to reserve a table for a lunch / dinner slot, we did just that and well... Maybe it isn't a really popular place, or it's just that the crowd isn't present, the outlet doesn't look packed, and perhaps even a reservation would be unnecessary. It's still better to be safe than sorry though~! This buffet place features a peak-period meal slot, ie. lunch and dinner. Time difference of 1 hour more if you cho
