Y3S2 teaching weeks cleared!

The jellyfish is back! =)

It's finally the end of Y3S2, the end of a most pass-fail but busiest semester (among the 6). It's a wonder how I passed through the semester, given the work piles every week like crazy. So overall, well done Jeff, you have finally finished and it's time to enjoy with only 2 graded finals out of 6. =)

It's also the end of teaching basic programming (MATLAB and C++) to the year 1 in SPMS. I must say it is an enjoyable experience (and the lesson I look the most forward to) in the whole year. I think I learned much more as a TA than as a student. XD Well that kinda makes sense. When I am studying as a student, dunno can just heck care. If I don't know as a TA, means cannot explain to somewhere, and that is a problem ya? =P

If there is a chance to teach MATLAB (MH1401) and C++ (MH1402) again next year, I will take it. =D

To the year 1 (esp. the physics ppl) who come to the Friday lab even though almost nobody comes, thank you for the support and here's wishing you guys all the best for your finals and hoped you enjoy the last compulsory programming mod in the physics curriculum. =)

Today also marks Euler's birthday, 319 years to be exact. Dr. Fedor gave back the Euler Math competition scripts (sponsored by Jane Street) and explained that Jane Street is looking for people who could solve questions that has a time limit of 30 minutes that could affect millions of dollars. Wow. I wouldn't dare to take that.

Anyways I got 23/50. Not bad, considering I only knew the first one, guessed somewhat intelligently for the second one, smoked through the third one, and gave up on the last two. Dr. Fedor gave a certificate of honourable mention (looks decent). I heard there are prizes for everybody who participated, perhaps I will go collect it if I remember. =D

Alright then. That's the end! ^_^
