Early Feb re-meetups

The jellyfish is back! ^^

Feb is finally here, and reunion is going to be a key part of the month as families and friends gather again for a chat, for a rebond session, and esp. for CNY! [Yea as if I celebrate that] Posting about 2 recent short outings, one with RJ, one with WL and War~!

-----

RJ's outing content:

As Kip (aka Keith) said: "Wah Jeff, rare guest."

Yea I agree! I forgot when was the last time I saw RJ, WJ and Keith. Apparently they hang out a lot with one another, so I must be the extra (and a very random one) to join in for the movie outing (RJ: boy boy to men). Sounds like Defa joining us for the POMO thing the other time, but yea, it's fun! =P

Rested at RJ's house for a few hours, which of course included the compulsory section: Dinner. Kinda regret eating that cheese egglet bought at lot 1 even though it's rather delicious, as I had simply forgotten on how RJ's family and me views a decent serving proportion.

Jeff: A small piece of fish, some veg, would be enough already. :)
RJ's family: A full plate of fish (4pcs), a plate of veg, a fishcake.
RJ's mum: Jeff ah, this one you finish everything, RJ's father still got a serving for himself, help yourself to the food, sorry ah if our hospitality not as good.

Someone should give them a big prize for that hospitality! This time WL is not there to help clear the food (pork belly), so oh well! While enjoying the dinner (and chatting with RJ), I heard this song over 97.2FM.

RJ's mother told me the name of this song, and said she loved it. This guy's song and voice is just awesome right? =P

---

Moving on to RJ's room. One look and you will realise that he is a hard-core one piece anime fan! 8 wanted posters, figurines, anime swords, bamboo sticks, and I think the bed is something anime-related too! Interesting sia, unlike my boring room which has nothing much except for soft toys and that awesome big giant bear. =/ Surprisingly, there isn't any box of tissue papers. (if u know what I mean)

Just as I thought, RJ is a very busy person where you can't invite him for an outing without weeks in advance. Here's part of a convo that backs my thesis.

RJ's mother: "Ren Jie you going out tmr?"
RJ: "Ah... Ya."
RJ's mother: "How come you everyday also like go out de?"
RJ: "Orh, tomorrow's friend's birthday mah. So go out eat and celebrate lo."
RJ's mother: "Aiyo, you all this year turn 21 already wor, if every friend's birthday go feast, then you might as well feast 365/7?"

Aha! True true! Hmm... March, June, July, Oct, sounds like a considerable time between each buffet celebration ya? ^^ Hmm, other random things that happened before the movie~

1. I should consider taking a break from playing Candy Crush as RJ related me to playing that when I'm free. (Skali every completion of level is being shown) Hey, i helped him with Lvl 13 and achieved 3 stars, thats awesome yeah~!

2. Breakfast deluxe (BD) = egg, bread, hashbrown and sausage
    Breakfast deluxe Supreme (BDS) = egg, bread, hashbrown, sausage and bacon

Perhaps Mac should add fish fillet in their BDS and name it Breakfast deluxe supreme royale, otherwise known as BDSR! Or another few mushrooms and call it breakfast deluxe supreme royale feast (BDSRF). ^^

3. ODAC juniors: thousands of faults, it's all your fault! (they said that in chinese, such teamwork-movitional sentences deserve an applause) Speaking of that, I still have that ODAC card which RJ gave me, and for the 1st time, realised that there's actually a calender printed on it (RJ: Walao Eh Jeff!!!)

Ah Boy to Men 2. An awesome show that mainly shows the life during BMT (totally diff from mine). Rather funny, a good movie to relieve the times during NS. Which is more important? Knowledge or camaraderie? Lazy to elaborate much about it, but it's a good show to watch! :D That sorta conclude the mini outing with RJ! Before we left., I saw Mr Chiam and have no idea whether he remembers us or not. XD

*Outing with WL and War: Scrambled Orange Gelato POMO!*

Welcome back War to SG from the land of lamb steaks, muttons on the move! =P Time has passed rather quickly, as it felt like yesterday that War was complaining about his 2 overseas trips, and hey, both have been over! ^^ This calls for a small celebration, and thus we met up on a random Sunday for a small outing, and also to complete our outing goals for the day!

WL: Scrambled orange Gelato at POMO.
Jeff: A nice hoodie, and some dessert at POMO! =P
War: Koi.

Probably War really had enough of those steaks, but lunch was rather unexpected as the all-time-angmoh War chose to have Chinese cuisine at Crystal Jade. I like the idea, as it would be a break from fast food and western dining. So we took a convenient 4-seater sofa slot and settled down comfortably. Not too many people in the afternoon, so no waiting time required. :)

Starter: Peanuts and Chinese Tea. The one which me and War took quite a lot, leaving WL diao-ing and acting cool on his own. Munching on the nuts, drinking a rather hot cup of tea, listening to War talk about his NZ trip, interesting! Apparently in NZ, outfield would include sleeping in sleeping bags in the middle of the road, with hail happening at random times. O.O Haix poor War, but that doesn't excuse him from saying that Grass jelly is Cactus!

(Something about soya milk with grass jelly)
War: Xian cao not cactus meh!?

Main dishes for me consisted of classic soup ban mian with extra chicken broth, and sharing of beansprouts with garlic (disgusted WL). The noodles is VERY filling, and thus it was lucky for me not to order the extra dumpings / xiao long bao as I wouldn't be able to finish everything (cough War and his chicken fillet noodles). I don't think I will order any veg from Crystal Jade again, it's really expensive!!! $10+ for a plate of beansprouts is seriously a scam sia...

It must be one of the rare times when I have drank much lesser beverage compared to War and probably WL. While they were complaining about their cup of tea being hot, I was taking it by the glass and gulping down everything in almost 1 shot, only to realise that I didn't feel thirsty throughout the entire course as my whole meal was full of liquid soup. War and WL were protecting their glasses with a mentality much more serious than protecting their countries as they were not on for another refill. XD

War: "NO... NO.... NO!!! AHHHHHH....!!!!"

~~~~~
There's one thing which I didn't get it but didn't voice out before the start of the outing is: "Why meet at Bugis first?" Reason: Shouldn't we makan at POMO first then proceed to Bugis to buy hoodie?
Answer from WL: Bugis POMO is near Bugis mah, just like how Nex is near Orchard! ^^
Thanks to his awesome knowledge of roads, we walked a longer distance than how it should be in the pouring rain. War didn't have an umbrella, so I ended up wearing my cap and jacket, while WL and War sheltered me. Feeling level? Like a boss. =P Ok la, not really like a boss. When we're nearing to LaSalle school of Arts (got lost), War got bored of sheltering and started to hold the umbrella poorly and tipping the rainwater on me and WL. -_-
Singapore Pools is going to relocate its current location in POMO to somewhere nearby, so for memory sake, we decided to visit POMO for a last look before it's gone. :)
Ah bullshit, more like WL is craving for the scrambled orange gelato which in my opinion tasted just like Orange flavoured Cod liver oil! I didn't like it, but that taste didn't linger for long as I had myself a waffle + some vanilla/choco nut gelato [classified under classico] with chocolate sauce and almond chips~ Tasted perfect, and perhaps even nicer than the Hershey's chocolate / Kinder Bueno gelato. XD
The Gelato cottage is as ulu as usual, and the lady which served us the other time wasn't present. Nevertheless, the one on duty was still very friendly, and gave very good service with a great smile, and filling our cups with iced water in the cold, rainy day. With beautiful decorations for the Lunar New Year, tarts of strange different colours, add in a gentle touch of old sentimental songs that are way too modern for War, ah, perfect place to slack on a sunday afternoon. :) Should have asked PH, but there's a 50% chance that he is in camp, so ah, next time!
--
War left early as he needed to do stuff / pack room that night. To kill time, me and WL headed off to the outdoor tree-sheltered area of SOTA, and sat there while waiting for our umbrellas to dry. Just as I thought that War could be moving at such a slow speed that he would passing by SOTA, he appeared at a corner in SOTA! Apparently he's stuck in the middle of the rain, and thus took cover at SOTA. Such an auspicious guess deserves a big prize! =P
For about 2.5 hours (1600-1830), we chatted underneath the big tree about many many random things, from WL's noisy songs to department to work to random comments by people and many more~~
1. ATL's 'For Baltimore' doesn't have any 'Do it' before it~ Time bomb is still nicer rhough! =P
2. Don't Panic MVs are really very standard, and I only understood the meaning of the MV after WL's explanation. =/
3. WL used up all his leave and thus cannot watch ATL's 6 March concert. =(
4. Derrick's 'Forever' is on iTunes, and it's a real nice song! Not on WL's iPhone though!
5. There's such thing as a documentation clerk, does that mean other clerks don't document things?
6. If the KIV clerk doesn't do his job, the clerk that settles urgent things would really die from the next day onwards. =P
7. Finance department doesn't deal with salaries, thus if there are problems with money, the workers are doomed! O_O
Browsing through WL's FB can be rather entertaining! Not just limited to him, if you have quite a lot of FB friends, why not take a look at the random comments, pics and videos being posted, and have a good laugh at those random items! Random pics of dinners, about pets, ridiculous comments about breakups, about life issues as if they were philosophers in their past lives~ Oh, also when unfortunate things happen, somehow a lot of people like it. Saddistic siol!
The most random one should be commenting on people's looks. It's not a very nice thing to do online (in my opinion), but if it's a praise, then evaluate that statement and perhaps laugh about it! XD This victim, is of course no other than WL! You would be asking, of all good-looking dudes, why WL???
This of course originated from WL's friend who I will call Marikita (protect her identity in case her statement is bullshit). There's 1 night which WL and his 2 girlfriends went to JP NTUC to shop for socks, and for some random reason, they took some photos during that outing, and perhaps with the inspiration from Ah Boys to Men 2 (Lobang with 2 girls in outfield), the girls appreciated WL's looks and commented on it!
"Wen Long is now very good-looking right??? <3 <3"
If you translate this sentence from a girl's language to a guy's language, it would be something like this: "WAH! WL NOW SIBEI GOOD LOOKING SIOL!!!!" =D
Compare it with War's bunkmates: "Wah War's old songs sibei hao ting siol!" Yea you get the idea! =P Ok la, to be honest, WL is really 1 of the better-looking bamboos, I mean guys  I have seen (excluding ZH, RJ, MY, PH, etc.) So Marikita's comments should be rather valid right? =P
So much for not commenting on people's looks online. Contradictory, yea.
After the rain started to die down, we walked around Cathay, bought Gong Cha (Mango green tea 30%) and drank happily while looking around at Gramophone. No ATL's discs (surprisingly), but has lots of old CDs they would be too modern for War. The good looking WL made 3 profound conclusions in Cathay.
*YX's attendance status for next guild outing would be dependent on whether Cathay is the location or not.
*30% sugar is only for girls, hunks like WL should be drinking 50% and above.
*Jeff is a Gong Cha addict! (So not true la)
Dinner at LJS isn't eventful. I tried the non-spicy curry breaded chicken rice, which tasted quite nice, should try it again soon! WL ordered the minty-milo thing, killing sperms along the way but he doesn't care as he has much more. =P LJS was playing Backstreet Boys' songs, which sounded really nice, bring back memories in around 2005. =D
With that, ends the outing! :)
