Y4S1 end of week 13

The jellyfish is back! It's been a long time since I made a post, due to the somewhat busy school life, mixed with a lot of random stuff~~

So it's the finally the end of week 13, and as usual, the start of a less intense life during the semester. =) For this semester, I have read some basic readings for the FYP, done a small exercise using a debugger, enjoyed learning the CZ2001 course and had a rough (but worth it) time for the Neural Networks course. Along the way, I also managed to read the MAS434 module with SH (<3), revised some C++ with Marcus' floods of phone calls and questions. =P I thought that Y4S1 would be a rather relaxing semester since there are only 2 modules, but apparently not really. It seems to be more hectic than Y3S1, but definitely better than Y3S2. ^^

MATLAB TA

Today also marks the last day of being a MATLAB TA. Overall it has been a fun module, easy to learn and stuff. Every sem, I will tell myself to give less hints as compared to the previous semester, which once again has failed quite badly. =/ Hopefully in the next and last sem of teaching C++, I will be able to give less hints and ask the people to try the questions themselves.

Job search (DSO Info v.s. DSO Sensors v.s. CSIT HPC)

So in the past few months, I had also try to find some jobs in the research field, so that's DSO (the company which I have interned in), and CSIT (the one which I went for the roadshow with SH and Marcus). Both organisations are actually great, and seem to provide a lot of learning opportunities.

FYP

I shall stop slacking so much this semester and work harder next semester. This question actually got me by surprise~

Jeff; When u accepted me to do this FYP, how many hours did you expect me to do this per week?
WHJ: 10 hours
Jeff: Oh ok, 10 hours per week?
WHJ: More than 10 hours per day.
Jeff: How many days? O_O
WHJ: Evreryday.

At the current state I am going, GG!

So yup Jeff, it is good to keep on going as there is still a semester left to go. While you have friends whom you know that are graduating in a few weeks, you have 1 semester left to do the right things. =)

With that, all the best to everybody taking their finals!
