Day 1: Arrival at Brisbane
"This is a F4 outing to celebrate 10 years of meeting one another."
What a nice sentence to commemorate friendship.
Ok la to be honest, If I don't remember wrongly, I think either War or WL suggested about going for a trip. Unlike the previous years, this year me and War hanged out with WL and PH more often. After rounds of discussion, random voting and thoughts, we decided to visit 2 cities in Australia. =D I think I wrote the sentence lolol.
The trip started off with us meeting up at Changi Airport, and it started off in a super interesting way with WL not being able to wake up early. >.< He had an overseas company trip the evening before and just returned. But wa heng he managed to reach on time. =P Managed to get some awesome Burger King breakfast. War was very happy too about taking a break from work. ^^
We took the Emirates plane to Brisbane. It is a nice flight, that is rather spacious and definitely very clean! The Lamb Satay lunch was very delicious. The meat is tender and the rice is fragrant. As I had the TOPIK exam in 2 weeks, I did a practice paper on the plane. >.< '
An interesting thing is that when clearing the immigrations in the Brisbane Airport, all travellers are to declare whether they have brought in any food from other countries. I guess that's because AU is proud of their food. Even food from the plane is not allowed (Explicitly stated). Had an intense bread buffet. =P
Welcome to Brisbane! Everyone looks so happy in this photo~ :D
The Gold Coast line train is nice, clean and spacious! Not many people at this timing (About 9pm) as AU usually ends earlier. So we had about the whole place to ourselves. =P 19 AUD for the single trip ticket though! There's even a toilet in the train! The recorded announcer voice is actually quite nice, but it sounds kinda funny when passengers are told "prepare to disembark". Chim English sia haha.
Oh yeah, another interesting feature is that if you want the door to open, you will have to push the button on the door. SG doors open automatically. For a small period of time, we thought that some train doors were locked and we would have to run to some door that will open. >.<
WL and PH chose a very nice accommodation facility for Brisbane! Damn big, clean, 2 toilets. Everyone was like "waaaa this place so nice" XD
Even the view outside is beautiful! Not a very cold night, perhaps the place warms the heart. =P
The Brisbane river looks splendid in the CBD area. A rather quiet evening for a Saturday, but there are still random people gathering singing / dancing. :) Me and PH went for a night walk while War and WL rested at the accommodation facility.
One must definitely not miss out this sign. Good as a wallpaper. XD
PH was quite hungry, and thus we went to get some pizza from a bar-like place. Big, thin crust pizza that was rather delicious! =P This "lamp" is very interesting! Not your ordinary kind of lamp that gives out light, but rather this is a stand-up form of a Bunsen burner that is really hot! Actually kinda unsure if that is necessary, considering that the evening wasn't too cold to start with. Hmm...
Went to a decently near 7-11 to buy some drinks before going back. Then I realise that some ice-cream brands are familiar: Oreo, Paddle Pop, Solero, Milo... Hmm!
Evening rest after the walk! The warm water is awesome, even without using the bathtub. Everyone then nua in the living room, feeling awesome and ready for the interesting happenings starting the next day. :D
