Earth Day 2013

Image
The jellyfish is back! ^^ Posting about some interesting things on Earth Day, 23/3/2013. =P To mark this occasion and perhaps do a part to help the Earth, most Singapore premises such as shopping centers would dim / off some extra lights to the basic minimum to meet safety requirements so as to save some electricity and perhaps encourage Singaporeans to do the same by doing a part to save the Earth. :) As for me, keep calm (cum by WL) and type this post. =P ========== 1. Post RT: Maths & Chatting with Justin~ It's rather unexpected that after kena being retrenched from PJ, I would be opening the maths tutorial file and providing help. But yep, that's what I did at West mall Burger King with Justin~ Munching on the breakfast mushroom crossian'wich meal (chicken patty, egg, mushrooms), sharing about my learning experience both in school and during holidays, learning tips, and what to note and expectations. Time flies, covering the full Application of Differe...

Retrenchment outings

The jellyfish is back! XD Posting about the recent outings after my auspicious retrenchment, which I don't think I will dedicate anything of an emo nature to this post. =) Contents: 1. Last day in PJ - Maths department lunch~ 2. JM's visit and Sakae makan! 3. Jeff's retrenchment celebration & PH distribution of souvenirs day! ---------- Maths department lunch! From a student until now, I don't think I have ever noticed the existence of the Living Room in PJ, which is actually just beside the L2 staff room. So on this auspicious 'last day of the term', the Maths department decided to hold an informal buffet lunch in the living room for the staff to enjoy, and thank the full time teachers for the better maths results as evident in the A lvl statistics. Since I'm still a RT until that day, therefore I joined the makan. =P The living room is actually sort of a cosy environment with a spacious middle area, some sofas, dining tables and picture...

Relief teaching: The last day

Image
"He was once there, and so I believe he can take the students to greater heights." -I love Functions Mrs Tan: So Jefferson, you must bring as many students with you to your level? Okay?"  Jeff: Yeah!  Mrs Tan: ^^ Relief teaching: An awesome job, with awesome people, getting an awesome pay, working in an awesome environment... And it's gone! X_X ===================== Today marks the last day of me being a relief teacher in PJ, a super sudden abrupt event which I totally didn't expect. Either PJ is really out of funds (dont really believe), or there is actually nothing much for me to do, or its just my maths very cui. =/ But ah, oh well. Nevertheless, I can say that these 4 weeks could be the most meaningful weeks of my life. Educate the young, and aspire them to be good leaders and contribute to the society. Whatever the hell that means.  Recently, there's a PJ alumni sharing session for J2, which Lester, Melvin and ??? shared their...

Life as a relief teacher

Mr Tai: Jefferson like almost everyday morning Assembly go take award. (Huh!?) 172 I love Vectors: "Students nowadays are very cunning. Be cautious of all those lai li bu ming questions." [Staff room ceiling pouring, not leaking, water] 173 (Random person sees the whole RT dept going canteen for lunch) "Wah! The whole platoon come down for lunch ah?!" (Training t...

Case closed: Working in Zen

The jellyfish is back! ^^ Finally, I got my pay for working in Feb! =D Shall post a bit of reflections of working in the company. :) Meanwhile enjoy this song by MXNOR MXJOR, 'We'll be alright'. It's a rather nice song, and apparently its a Singapore duo with guide from, I also dunno who. Something like that~ XD --- -  I finally found the title/name of the song while listening to 987 Morning Brunch (DJ Darren aka DJ Towkay)! It's a nice song, and they sing/rap sooooo much better than most singers! ^^  --- The work Yea, back to talking a bit about Zen gifts, the company I worked in during the CNY period, plus the bonus day afterwards. 8 weeks in there, a surprise for me as I thought I would be processing DOs in an office, but ended up in a warehouse typing out the DO masterlist (via a very cui method). At first I thought that it would be extremely busy, esp. when it comes close to CNY, but surprisingly it's not, and I get to play at home...

Dong Fen outing - Happy series

The jellyfish is back! ^^ Another bright and beautiful Saturday after the 2nd week of relief teaching, and hey, it's another outing with WL and War! This time, PH is not with us but not because we forgot about him, it's just that he has ORD-ed on Friday, and thus enjoying himself on an awesome trip to Japan! Here's wishing him a safe flight and a well-deserved holiday. :D -- ** Flashback ** 1/3 (After A lvl results, WL absent, in pizza hut) War: So tomorrow go Uni open house? Personality test - Flowery rabbit ladder

The jellyfish is back! =D This is one of the rare moments when I will actually something inspirational / something to do with personalities as I'm a person who classify all these as... well, anyhow. But hey, here's an interesting one shared by RT Lester during lunch. :) ===== Setting: In a room, initially an empty room, with no doors, windows, etc... (how the hell is that possible?) 1. So you're in the room, and there's a box. Describe the box, what type of box is it. Is it opened or closed? 2. So about the location of the box, where is it? In the middle of the room? The side of the room? 3. Next up, there's some flowers. How many flowers are there? Type of flowers? 4. Where are the flowers? 5. Following that, a ladder. How high is the ladder?  6. Where is the ladder? 7. With a very cute twist, there's a rabbit! What colour is the rabbit?  8. Where is the rabbit, and what is it doing? 9. Adding in a random feature, a horse. Where i...

WL and his sibilings

Image
------------------------------------------------------------ This 'Giant' bear is seriously huge!!! Comparing the heights of the bear and 11 year-old WenJun, atas bear right? I think it's probably bigger than my house bear. If you think that's interesting, you are in for a better one! =D After WL posted this photo to share, his previous awesome maths teacher saw the photo, and commented: "the three of you look very alike."  For those who have not seen WL before, please do not assume that he is the bear. (as how his maths teacher commented) :)
